It's a commonplace aspiration among wine fans to own a little vineyard and dedicate their lives to making wine. Images of days spent caring for the vines and then retiring to a garden patio in the evenings to try the resulting drinks are definitely tempting, but not likely to be realised.

Wine connoisseurs can now live the daydream at least a little bit, by adopting a vine at one of the UK's leading vineyards. After you've adopted the grape vine, you'll get a certificate telling you exactly which vine plant you've taken on, plus a lot of info on the history of the vineyard and the drinks it creates.

You'll also be given a free tour of the vineyard, as well as a price reduction on anything you purchase during your tour.

For most of us, having a vineyard and making wine will always be a dream, but this marvellous idea of adopting a vine will make a terrific present for anyone with an interest in how their wine is produced.

As the nights get icier, bleaker and longer, most of us would welcome a bit of solace. A huggable teddy bear is a widespread favourite for cuddling up with on a winters evening, so why not take things up a level by opting for a microwaveable teddy that will also keep you warm?

Just pop the microwaveable teddy bear into the microwave for a a few minutes (he won't hold it against you!), and he'll emerge toasty and warm and perfect for hugging up to. Warning: follow the manufacturer's instructions cautiously, for overheating may damage the teddy or even your microwave.

Whether you utilise it as a hot water bottle alternative for warming a winter bed, or even merely for whiling away those wintertime evenings tucked up on the sofa watching TV, a microwaveable bear is certain to bring a little light and warmth into the darker months of wintertime.

Warming microwave bears are available in all shapes and sizes, some based on famous teddy characters, and others original but still cuddly. Whichever you choose, it'll be ideal for any of your loved ones who relishes homey comforts!
